Bromba starts online museum
for biometrics
Bromba now exhibits a part of
its engineering samples, prototypes, and product samples which have been
collected in the course of more than 10 years. Not only ancestors of successful
products are shown. Also promising projects which have been given up for
financial, technical, or other reasons find their last appraisal in Bromba's
"online museum". The main focus is on the development of modern, cost-effective
fingerprint sensors of different technologies. Certainly, the online museum
is permanently extended. ->Online-Museum |

Bromba launches Relay Card Commander
for BioIDENTICA FF
Together with Edition 3 of our
easy-to-integrate SDK BioIDENTICA FF
and an 8-fold relay card from our long-term customer Conrad Electronics
it is now possible to develop physical access control systems with a fingerprint
controlled door opener and to configure it in a very flexible way. For
this purpose, Bromba provides the free-to-use Relay Card Commander, which
is able to control relays directly or time depending with batch files,
script programs, BioIDENTICA FF, and other methods. ->Relay

UPEK announces EikonTouch™ as
successor of their successful TouchChip® Reader
With the forthcoming EikonTouch
300 and EikonTouch 700 UPEK is going to supersede their approved TouchChip
Readers TCRU2 and TCRU1, which have proven as high-quality USB fingerprint
readers in manifold biometric applications. Both devices for the first
time provide USB encryption following the AES standard. Moreover, the large
sensor of the EikonTouch 700 complies with the US governmental standard
FIPS 201 as worldwide only silicon sensor. Thanks to UPEK's proprietary
SteelCoat™ coating, the somewhat smaller and thus less expensive sensor
of the EikonTouch 300 is characterized by a unique robust sensor surface
which qualifies this device for multiuser applications. Bromba's BioIDENTICA®
SDK supports both devices since version 2.1.5.0. Both the
EikonTouch
300 and the EikonTouch 700 are
available from Bromba as of December 2009. ->Press

BioIDENTICA FF now starts
programs on fingerprint
With Edition 3 of our extremely
easy to integrate SDK BioIDENTICA FF it is now possible to start
programs personalized or non-personalized when a user is recognized by
fingerprint. Especially, as comfort function, it is easy to start different
programs with different fingers. An example for the non-personalized opening
of a program is to control a door opener when an authorized user is recognized.
With the new release BioIDENTICA FF also supports new sensors such
as the forthcoming EikonTouch from UPEK. As usual, customers who have already
bought BioIDENTICA FF will get the upgrade free of charge. ->BioIDENTICA®

BioIDENTICA SDK supports
new sensors and USB encryption
The recent upgrade 2.1.5.0 of
the BioIDENTICA SDK now allows to operate certain sensors from UPEK
with encrypted USB data flow when using the extension BioIDENTICA
UPK. Furthermore, FIPS 201 certified devices with UPEK sensors as well
as the swipe sensors AES2550 / AES2810 from AuthenTec are supported. This
way, the elegant P6000 becomes available for our customers. As a matter
of course, BioIDENTICA SDK is prepared for the forthcoming sensor
devices from UPEK, the EikonTouch™ 300 and the EikonTouch™ 500. Bromba's
SDK customers are entitled to get a free upgrade. ->BioIDENTICA®

BioIDENTICA FF now with
Registration Tool including GUI
Bromba has extended the successful
SDK BioIDENTICA FF by a tool with
graphical user interface, which supports fingerprint enrolment as well
as registration and editing of user data in a quite simple way. This way,
Bromba pushes its strategy to enable application programmers to add fingerprint
authentication to their application within a couple of hours - instead
of weeks or months. The "Registration Tool" is based on Microsoft®'s
.NET Framework and can even be used together with other BioIDENTICA
SDKs. Customers of BioIDENTICA .NET
receive the source code (C#) without price adder. The Registration Tool
is available now with Edition 2 of BioIDENTICA
FF. As usual, previous customers of BioIDENTICA
FF will get the upgrade for free. |

BioIDENTICA FF - Fingerprint
integration without the slightest effort
With the first release version
of the new BioIDENTICA FF Bromba Biometrics offers the opportunity
to integrate biometric identification into arbitrary applications with
easiest means. Every programming or script language which is able to call
executables is usable for integration. For testing, even the generation
of a batch file will be sufficient under Windows. To achieve this, BioIDENTICA
FF simulates a keyboard interface, which inserts previously assigned user
data into the input fields of the application or a text file as soon as
the user is successfully identified. ->BioIDENTICA®

Touchless sensors from TST Biometrics
now available from Bromba
After already having integrated
the BiRD 3 from TST into the BioIDENTICA®
SDK, Bromba now will also distribute the fingerprint sensors of
the Munich based company. The touchless sensors from TST don't need software
measures against latent prints and are insensitive against ESD or contamination.
They are especially qualified for frequent use by different persons, for
example in physical access control. ->BiRD

Bromba distributes fingerprint
reader P5000 from Zvetco Biometrics
The fingerprint sensor device
P5000 of the US company Zvetco Biometrics is based on the semiconductor
sensor TCS1 from UPEK and is fully compatible with the fingerprint reader
TCRU1. The P5000 is characterized by an appealingly designed Aluminium
housing and belongs to the most ruggedized fingerprint readers available
on the market. As a matter of course, the device will be supported by Brombas
software, especially BioIDENTICA®
SDK.

BioIDENTICA SDK supports
new fingerprint scanner Verifier 320 LC from Cross Match Technologies
The actual release 2.1.4 of
Bromba's BioIDENTICA SDKs now enables the operation of the new optical
two-finger scanner Verifier 320 LC from Cross Match Technologies. The Verifier
320 LC has the same design as the Verifier 310 and allows the additional
capturing of rolled fingersprints using the software L SCAN Essentials.
Among others, Vista support for UPEK sensors has been improved. Bromba's
SDK customers may request a free upgrade. ->BioIDENTICA®
